About InBridesburg.com

InBridesburg Team - Anthony Biondo, Joe Biondo, Bob Olszewski - Bridesburg Community Website - InBridesburg.com is Bridesburg Community Website Forum Message Board Business AssociationInBridesburg.com originally launched on Memorial Day 1999 as a volunteer effort by lifelong Bridesburg residents Anthony Biondo, Joe Biondo and Bob Olszewski.  The vision of the website was to create a virtual meeting place and resource center for the residents of Bridesburg.
InBridesburg.com was the first community website of its kind to offer news, history and photos related to Bridesburg. The website offered free email accounts and a message board for the residents of Bridesburg.  The team worked closely with community leaders to gather and distribute important information about the neighborhood.

Anthony, Joe and Bob envisioned InBridesburg.com as a way to “Revolutionize the way Communities Communicate.” The website encouraged interaction and volunteerism among the neighbors of Bridesburg. InBridesburg.com publicized local community service opportunities and encouraged the residents of Bridesburg to get involved in the community. The staff of InBridesburg.com led the charge by coordinating a successful clean up day with the support of the Bridesburg Bulletin.

Even though the Internet and Web Technology was still in its infancy in 1999, that did not stop the staff at InBridesburg.com from seeking innovative ways to bring people closer together. Perhaps the most memorable part of the original InBridesburg.com was the message board. The InBridesburg.com message board was a custom application developed by the staff to allow the current and former residents of Bridesburg the ability to talk to each other. The message board was tremendously successful and for the most part people enjoyed the ability to interact with their neighbors and old friends.

Unfortunately, InBridesburg.com is usually remembered for the way a small group of people sabotaged the message board. The ability to fully ban, restrict and track the people abusing the message board was virtually impossible because of the Web technology available in 1999.  In response to the inability to remove and manage the troublemakers, the InBridesburg.com staff decided to remove the message board and soon took down the entire InBridesburg.com website.

Since the removal of InBridesburg.com, Anthony, Joe and Bob have continued to seek ways to connect Bridesburg with the world. Since 2004, the trio has provided a free Webcast of the Bridesburg Memorial Day Parade. In addition to the video of the parade, the guys allow Bridesburg residents with loved ones serving in the war to send a video message to them during lulls in the parade.

In short, the all-new InBridesburg.com is more then just a message board. The site will provide unique content such as the online version of the Bridesburg Bulletin, historical Bridesburg Bulletin articles, interactive maps and a live Webcast of the Bridesburg Memorial Day Parade. The team implemented a robust message board with administration functions that can easily remove and track users who intend to sabotage the board. The message board will encourage community members to provide feedback and allow anyone to easily report abusive behavior to the board administrators.

Anthony, Joe and Bob thank you for choosing InBridesburg.com.  Feel free to contact them if you have any suggestions or comments.
